Yeah, it's probably one of those occasions when a little bigger is good but a lot bigger is bad.

shouldnt have to go shift kit with the LS1 auto as u can do all that within the tune, which may be part of the issue as the trans tune expects a curtain commanded pressure and such but if a shift kit is manually increasing it then the auto tune will want to remedy that which it may not be able to now so who knows what its trying to do within the box now as its all in error of what it wants to do

I didn't think the 4L60e was that smart? Didn't think it was able to monitor line pressure either?

From memory, the telltale that the screw in the EPC solenoid has been wound in, is that it’ll shift hard between drive/reverse when stationary without throttle input.

All depends on the ‘shift kit’ installed too, and whether it’s a commercial product, or has been made up by a backyarder using a series of washers/spacers/springs to delete accumulators and limit valve movement etc.

yea no where near as much as the 6speeds now days but still u get a bit, here is a snap shot of one LS1 with 4L60e trans i just had a file from
