Welcome to Just Commodores, a site specifically designed for all people who share the same passion as yourself.
The car ran great then when I went to start it the next day, it just cranks over & no spark to plugs. I have replaced the coil & still no spark. I have 12v to the + & - side of coil & discovered this thick green wire but couldn’t see where it had come out of. As far as i could see the coil just had 2 red wires screwed to it, one on + & the other on negative. So you reckon it just goes on the next side as well. I can give it a go 2mrwThere are 2 green wires....A thin green which goes to the oil pressure switch....
If the car doesn't start, there is a thick green wire out of the distributer which goes to the negative of the coil

Back 15 to 20 years ago, I had a VK with this sort of dizzy and it got turfed over the shoulder and an electronic one got put in its place.....
Just had to disconnect the pick up at the back of the head, bolt the electronic dizzy in, fit the 2 dizzy wires onto the coil and away you go...
