Sick of guessing threads and bolt sizes.

Does nuts and bolts. One is Imperial, the other is metric.

I like that it hangs up easy on the loops at the end. The bead colours denote metric or imperial.

Was about $30ea and in my books, that’s value for what it is and does.

The eBay listing was this one and old mate got them to me fast as.

I also get some use out of this thread pitch gauge.

Can you remove them from the wire?
Say you need to screw one into a hole in your engine to establish thread....

I usually use a thread pitch gauge like your last picture and then lay the bolt on a ruler to determine size and tpi.
Except the metric system, I don't know what to do with the metric system. I mostly just throw metric bolts out the door and retap the holes to standard. Lol

Just kidding

It’s flexible enough.

I've never seen those.
I have a metric pitch gauge set, and inherited dads tools a Unified set, BSW/BSF set and a BA set.

I wish I had a BSF and whitworth pitch gauge and full tap and die set. Would have been useful once or twice on my truck.
Will probably come in useful a dozen times on the work land rover.

SAE and Unified are the same, 60 degree thread angle(metric as well)
BSW/BSF are 55 degrees and BA is 47.5 degrees.

If you need something specific, let me know.
Dad collected boxes of Pommy taps and dies(unified as well).
Have them stored in my son's workshop.
