Mazda 6 Wagon 2.5T, MT-10SP, DRZ-400E Sumo,
Looking at a 11 year old VE2 Holden Commodore Ute SSV Z series from a dealer in the ACT, I'm from NSW.

Ive purchased interstate before but not un-regoed.

The plan so far:

PPI
Pay for vehicle
Insurance of some sort
Freight over to Sydney
Blue slip it
Stamp Duty + Rego + Plates
Correct the insurance

Did I miss anything?

Unless you are getting a rooly, rooly cheap deal from the dealer, save yourself a lot of unnecessary farnarkling and head-bangs, and tell him to register it in your name at the RMS Queanbeyan.
Then you can drive it (with insurance) yourself back to Sydney.

My guess is, it won't pass a roadworthy check, or the motor does not run or the tranny is cactus or all the above?

Hope l'm completely wrong!

If that is the case, I wish him all future fortunes, as I had enough NSW RMS headbangs getting the QLD regoed, perfectly roadworthy Crewman transferred to my name and NSW rego.
What a PITA runaround that took 3 days of my retired life.

Usually cannot register a vehicle in another state in your name unless you have an address/licence in said state.

It's a fair bit cheaper than anything equivalent in NSW. Just running the numbers to see where the figure really comes to once I factor everything in.
Wasn't planning of driving it over but the Queanbeyan idea might work out substantially better for me.

Fingers crossed but I've been stringing the dealer along for photos and vids and it all seems fine so far. Engine sounded healthy, gbox and diff are the unknown. PPI should pick on this.

If I can put the risk of registering it on the dealer, I'll will.

I bought an unregistered vehicle from Victoria.

Pretty much your list, only I’m still getting through it.

No matter how, it still has to be registered in your state, by you, and inspected by your states dept of transport representative.

Make sure you check there’s no money owed and check that it is it a written off vehicle. You can pay to check against damage claims on it as well.
