Valve clearance for vt 304

Hi all I've recently replaced push rods a d lifters in my series 3 304, just wondering what I set my feeler guage to. I'm new to this and having to do it myself is a pain but only way I will learn any help is appreciated thank you in advance

Hi all I've recently replaced push rods a d lifters in my series 3 304, just wondering what I set my feeler guage to. I'm new to this and having to do it myself is a pain but only way I will learn any help is appreciated thank you in advance
If you’ve got a stock setup with hydraulic lifters in pretty sure you don’t adjust them. The hydraulic lifters take up any “lash” in the valve train.

Your talking about a solid cam setup setting valve lash, no need to do this with the stock hydraulic lifters just tighten the rocker bolts to spec with that particular valve closed (cam on base circle) youll need to rotate the motor so you can do this

If it were an old pre-pollution holden 6cyl you might be able to adjust them.

It's still a good idea to check the preload. Assuming you measured the rods and bought same length ones?

I only replaced on push rod in it, with a high tensile rod, but its just having issues running like ****. If you don't mind could you msg me on Facebook (Jake Pulvirenti)
