Meh that's old school, I want AI assisted design on a 3D 5-Axis computer numerically controlled system reverse errotomatic ignition after power modulation cylinder.
Whoa. You just built yourself a Tardis with out a seat.

I was wondering where you were?

You've been very quite.

Well it's kinda Bicycle related.

For anyone keen, there is the Handmade Bicycle Show at Seaworks in Williamstown Vic from the 2-4th June.

Normally some pretty interesting things there, lots of titanium, carbon and handcrafted goodness.
Also a good viewing of some high quality craftsmanship in terms of fabrication.
Sounds interesting, if just from an engineering point of view.

Will update if it all falls off!
It hasn't. Seems nice and secure, with good protection for frames. Pleased with it

The hitch insert needed a bit of fettling to fit in the challenger hole, it seems they aren't as deep as some.

Looks like there are a few elec assist bike items out there for conversions.
Either hub drive or add a motor to the Bottom Bracket.
Lots of proprietary items though.

Wonder how hard it will be to do this via a commonly found Tool Battery brand and have it more hidden.

Just got shown the 2023 Makita Battery powered bike (only available in Japan unfortunately) which uses hub drive assist up to a potential 132km.
Which is sparking a bit of interest into how to build one up.
Might have to start looking into this and figuring out a way to integrate this without it looking like an abomination on a normal cycle.

Talking about electric assist.

the Tour de France starts tonight.
Not that I watch all of it, but the scenery is nice.

Far out, I have just taken my first look at XC bikes in a while. I bought my last one 20 years ago, and have just realised how much has changed in that time. I dragged my old rig out of storage and cleaned/serviced it for perhaps the first time in 15 years. Still works 100%.

Is there a condensed summarised list of what is the must have these days?

I'm half considering rocking the 26" and copping all the strange looks from the 29" crowd!

There are a few things, that are more common
Dropper Posts, 27.5 or 29 wheels. 1x drive trains (big range at the rear 1 at the front), suspension front and back that can be locked out and a massive amount of other things.
Or just ride what you have (I still rock the 26 inch Commencal if i ever get out on the MTB)

For anyone interested, World Titles are on in Scotland as we speak.
UCI Feed on Youtube has some stuff on it.

Thanks. Wouldn't the chain be on too much of an angle with the single chain ring and a wide rear cassette, or has this been overcome?

Wafer thin cogs and minuscule tolerances between them and the chain may overcome that problem.
