Samsung Galaxy S5 vs Samsung Note 3

Howdy.

My contract for my Galaxy S3 is over June 29. I'll be upgrading to either one of the two phones/devides mentioned above.

I use my phone MAINLY for the following:

Social networking;
Music (shazaming, soundcloud, music playback etc);
Web surfing;
SMSing; and
Emailing.

I can't think of many more things I use my phone for at the moment.

I don't do iProducts anymore. I was an iPhone user for many years, since UPGRADING to the S3, i'll never go back..

The way I see it, if you are a midget and fitting it in a pocket is a problem for you then go the S5. Else, get a Note3. I have a Note3 and find it great.

The Note 3 is fairly big. I have the Note 2 and love every thing about it (pretty much same as a S4 but bigger) and the Note 3 is even bigger than that.

Essentially they are the same phone - the Note will have a few extra editing stuff but nothing you cant get on the S5. The main draw is the size. The note is a mini tablet almost. I find mine fantastic for watching movies at the gym or on the train, but is also small enough to use as a phone. Although, I am a giant.

My tip is to actually go and play with them and see how they feel. My next phone will be another Note for sure though.

Definitely go into a store and see how they both feel in your hand (why does that sound sexual?).

I have an S5 and love it. My brother has a Note 3 and loves it. Personal preference.

S5 has great battery life though.

This one feels nicer and has a 41MP camera.

S5 has great battery life though.

Wait.. a current phone has a great battery life? That's unheard of. I have to charge my S3 a MINIMUM of 2-3 times a day. If I go out of a night. 3-5 times.

I charge my Note 2 once a day.

I listen to music at work, I am on FB, then go to gym and listen to music there and watch an episode of a tv series on the cross trainer.

ive been on youtube since 9 am this morning (currently 12:30) and my phone is at 80%.

Look at what is drawing your power. If your battery life is that bad on a Galaxy, something is chewing power or youre just on it non stop.

It only takes 8MP stills but the huge camera gives it amazing zoom and picture quality.
