4L60e and Getrag both use hall effect speed sensor so only the pulses should be different.

v8 getrag vss...slip yoke has a gear pressed on to it for vs s3 although might be different for vt 5ltr getrag.

Not sure how can connect that to auto ecu unless can somehow convert v6 internal getrag vss to v8 box then wired on to v8 loom?

No vss even manual memcal will occasionally stall when want to stop also pop up intermittent faults.

Can all that be overcome in a tune or can it be done like vn/p no vss input just rpm vs map

Yes but they are the same sensor type so if the getrag VSS is wired to the auto loom the signal will work. It was the T5 that had the 3 wire sensor that is different to 4L60e/getrag hall effect sensor.

just have to change the PPK, getrag and auto will have similar pulse count, its the T5 3 wire that was heaps lower pulses bout 10x less

I only wish the T5 had the same speed sensor, it would make conversions so much easier.

If t5 takes same slip yoke as 4l60e then just need pressfit ringed gear on slip yoke just like vs s3 v8 & mount vss to extension housing

Different yoke. But you might be onto something if the OD is the same.

How does speedo work?

v8 getrag have external vss & slip yoke has geared tooth on it... signal different to auto & it goes through ecu.

Only know as did vs s3 304/getrag in torrie with 3.9 gears...it easily smacked 5400 or whatever it was rev limiter when doing silly ****.
No speedo, my dumb ass mess up ordering the custom tail shaft
