I dont mod my phones as I tend to make things worse lol. I once tried to put Cyanogenmod on the s2 and ended up bricking it. It took alot of googling, time and beer to fix it haha. Although, I might have another go at it but on my tablet. The missus got a new one so I got her old Tab2 7.0. Might give it another crack.

Also consider the range of accessories for your choice of phone. If you have a shitty IPhone or a Galaxy then you can get basically anything you want. HTC on the other hand is totally opposite. For the record I have a HTC One.
