HI, I've read through a number of threads regarding the Cruise control not turning on when the button on the end of the stalk is pushed. The scenario with mine seemed to follow pretty much the same pattern where it would randomly turn itself off. Initially stopping the car and turning off the ignition and then restarting would fix the issue however that solution very quickly failed as well. The unit now does not turn on at all. I am guessing it will be that a new stalk will need to be fitted however I was going to have a look to see whether something simple as a fuse might be the go. I can't see anything in the engine bay fuse box jumping out and saying "Cruise Control" Does anyone have an idea of where the cruise control might get it's power, or is there a circuit diagram floating around with the cruise control details. Thanks

Could be an issue with the cancelation switch if that fails it won't turn on. @lout can probably shed some light on whether it's part of the brake switch. Do your brake lights work?

Hi, Yes Brake lights work fine, and the unit as a whole was working fine when I was able to turn it on. I.E could set, cancel with brake pedal, resume etc. Now just won't turn on at all.

Can try a stalk, Holden still had them not too long ago, for around $65-$70 and may still have some stock. Unless you have to, don't buy aftermarket as you will be replacing it every 1-2 years after that.

The stalks are easy to replace,
Just clip in, [after you remove the steering column shroud]

Other option is to do a live scan, and check that the button does physically operate, and activate/deactivate the Cruise Control.

If stocks are exhausted,
The next option would be a Wrecker.

Not a particular software, just If you know someone with a Scan tool that can do live scans,
and that is able to see if the stalk button functions correctly.

Just out of interest,
have you installed LED Tail/Brake Light Globes ?

New,
Hmm, good question, possibly Peter Page, or other dealers, if they are still selling Holden Spares under a different banner.

but there are plenty at Jollys
