I have been looking for a rattle under the car for the last 3 months that has been driving me nuts, and I have only just found it.
The right side front mudguard has a nylon/plastic liner on the inside of it secured with plastic clips to the guard. You can see the clips around the inner wheel arch, but there is another one down in the front which you cannot see until you take the front wheel off.
The clip was missing and the liner was rattling against the bracket, I put a bolt in it and rattle is gone. See Pics, hope this helps someone.
