VY SS ERROR "Service Error, Contact Retailer"

Hi guys,

2004 VY SS Manual.

Was playing with engine engine bay relays (fans) with ignition on (yeah, I know:doh

Fans kicked on for a few seconds then turned off and I hear the error beeping from the dash. I looked at the dash and it showed "Service error, contact retailer"

TRAC OFF shows (I dont have Traction control) and also has the Engine with a lighting bolt and flashes with X

-I have reset the PCM
-disconnected the battery and checked all fuses
-Engine will not turn over when ignition is left on BUT engine will turn over briefly when I quickly turn ignition on and try to start.
-Disconnected ABS and no change apart from then displaying ABS fault
Service Error shows up after that.

On the diagnostic screen (Mode / Set) it shows the top row as "0" and the left half of the bottom row shows "1" similar to below

One of the "1" is for no MAF

WTF have I done????

I am I correct in guessing I have fried the PCM??

Ah I wouldnt have thought you had.

Use you aldl cable and check that your car actually has chatter going on over the comms.

If you do have communication (means BCM is doing its job), then you will need a scantool or an obd2 cable to lookup your engine faults, and if the PCM is communicating.

Cannot remote lock / unlock. I cannot hear the fuel pump does fire up with ignition.

Engine wont start if ignition is left on but can get it to kick over for less than 2 seconds if I flick the ignition on quickly

I am at a loss.....

The gauges on my dash which plug in to the OBD2 port won't turn on either which leads to why the scan tool (Tech2 clone) cannot read data

Ok, so by playing around with the relays with ignition you have lost GMLan. TO be honest, I don't believe you've fried your BCM/PCM but I won't rule it out. Have you checked each and every fuse inside and outside the car?

Ahh... that there says BCM problem. If tech2 cannot communicate.. that means there is no communication from the bcm (bcm fires off most of the chatter in a car!).

If you cant unlock/lock, that also says BCM issues.
