Hi,
My VQ has real wood black bean timber on the dash that I'd like to get refinished as it looks awful right now.
Does any one know how to remove it? Is it just glued on? Or are there screws going through the back? Or maybe refinish the wood while it's in the car?

Appreciate any help thanks

Thanks for the reply, I'll try run some fishing line behind it and see how that goes.

Yeah it's urathane behind it Got to be super careful not to bite into the wood or the dash defiantly want a 2nd person for the long bit
Behind the wood it's self are pockets machined into it the wood for the urathane to sit in and cause of that holdens went a bit nuts on the glue on the 2 sets I've removed so far

No worries, will do. Im gonna take them to a local antique/furniture restoring place down the road and see what they say.
I have no real experience with wood work and don't wanna mess them up.
Ill let you know how I get on

Also have a search for a 'french polisher' in your area. Some don't have shop fronts and work out of their shed or workshops. Checkout the link for more info - https://www.google.com/search?q=french+polishing
