VL intake manifold 92015955 vrs HDT 92015955

I've got a VL 304 in my VK, HDT used the same intake manifold (92015955) however it's opened up between the primary & secondary ports. Is it just a matter of cutting the manifold & blending/shaping to represent the same shapes? Anyone have any experiences with this mod????

Pity you hadn't done this last year had a couple of those manifolds couldn't sell or giveaway..sent most to recyclers.

From memory for the racecars they'd cut them in half,port them out & weld back together...some people used to add metal cone shaped to bottom of manifold.

Smitty or Struggler(AV8) will be the go to peeps for early head engines.
