Vf 6.0
Hey people, just looking for advice, I've just dropped 12k on stage 5 cam, head, exhaust package for my series 1 vf 6.0 l77 with stock converter

I'm now looking into upgrading my diff centre or gears to 3.27 or 3.45, quoted $3500 but that's truetrac aswell, I've never had an issue with my current stock diff, car runs completely fine but I'm just greedy and want better punch off the line like all of us do, would I necessarily need to go down the truetrac route or could I just change the diff gears themselves? The car itself has done 90,xxx kms and haven't had any issues with my current 2.92 stock diff.

Any help would be great guys,

Cheers

The 2.92 ratio is a bit of a handicap for acceleration.
HSV reckoned 3.27 was the 'best fit' for an auto, any lower and you'll have traction problems.
Truetrac for the win, unless you want to pay double the cost and use a Kaaz....

I have a Kaaz. I think the centre set me back about $1500-$1600. If going Trutrac don't get cheap Chinese one that are everywhere get Harrop or Eaton. Also your stock LSD won't last long with boost.

My diff build all up was $3145 with Kaaz LSD plus another $400 to have it fitted. I got a pretty good price on the build.

Way I see it is you can upgrade it now or wait until you break it then upgrade it.
I chose the first option and just did it.

How much is a Harrop or Eaton $800?
