Pretty rad to think one of these was on the production line for a day or so. Restoring one is so much more. You can bet it’s restored to better condition and workmanship than when it was new.
You bet your ass it's never going to see rain either. It's good for it but rather not have the hassle

So I finally got my first batch of VB-VN strut top covers, they came out perfectly

They seem to have some faint scratches but I'm looking into a way to polish these out.

Little update, car is now ready for paint. Rear end will definitely be looked at by a professional at some point. But as long as my tack welds hold for now she'll be right

Are hanbrake setups on correct side or able to swap?

Reason being is early girls supposable have handbrake down low then vn onwards cable goes up top(not 100%) but way to get around it is swapping handbrake assemblies to opposite side...that's the theory anyway.

Agree with Mcdonalds kit looks agricultural as same as what I have also agree about coilovers tucking inside rather than scallop clearance & yes add plate to rails for crossbar that coilovers bolt up to.

Liking the detail especially with painting inside car love that stuff even if nobody can see it....do HATE early girl tie bars for radiator going to vn-vs item or flipping vb-k item to take later radiators opens up many other options also provides heaps more room.

Weirdly like black steelie rims on early girls now...want a set of for tubbed car as rego wheels lol

However I'm at the stage that I'm realising that I've:
1 - Lost a lot of things
2 - Never had things to begin with

The list is (so far)
- Passenger side door latch (the bit that goes to the lock)
- Drivers side lower light trim
- C pillar clips for the rear trim
- C pillar vents
- Rear door latches (I probably just need to pull them out and grease them)
- Rear passenger window regulator
