I can keep going if you like. The above cars all have more then 250rwkw. There is more to how a car can put power to the ground then tyres.

1.7 and 1.8 for street cars with standard gearboxes? What is your best 60"?

I'm with airstrike.. Street Tyres are fine for the occasional drag racer.. No sense buying yourself a set of ET Streets and rims to suit if you're only gonna be hitting the drag strip once or twice a year. Of course if you wanna go spend $1000+ on rims and drag radials go for it.. My car has got around 450rwhp and on 440 Treadwear cheap street tyres I can 2.0s the 60'.. If I got slicks I'd probably be able to 1.7-1.8 the 60' and shaved 0.4-0.6 off the 1/4 time but I'm more interested in what it runs in street trim, not bragging rights on a car forum.

And the XR6T 60' times he posted I'd almost say the good ones around 1.8 are ZF autos and the crappy ones are probably the manuals..

Very disappointing as it made 258rwkw on dyno and yes I have put it on another dyno and it came back with 257 rwkw so power is there but at the track she is a nugget what's wrong standard wheels no wheel spin traction off power button off when it's on it's slower with a 14.6 and that time was the best tuner said something's wrong with the car pulling that time with that power

Have a look at my time slip, it's a classic case of the quicker car getting a slower ET... The guy beside me had a better RT, higher trap and I got .8 of a second on him :)

I have an Auto and leave TRAC ON and I run KU31's (not even new tyres), this was only my 2nd trip out to Willowbank. I can't remember what he had, no-one remembers the losers, but you can tell it's a quicker car with more power but he's not getting it onto the track. :)

02 CV8-R Auto 5.7L with a catback exhaust, only my second time out to Willowbank - I was pretty happy with the time

Reaction time has nothing to do with ET or MPH.

^This Guy..
RT only matters when competitively racing.. At Test and Tunes it won't apply..

I had this argument with a fella the other day because he tried to take a 1.2sec RT off his ET and claim his car was faster then mine..

Reatipn time has nothing to do with ET or MPH.

Ok, so I've looked into it further and now I understand RT more in relation to ET, I didn't say it effects MPH btw.

I guess in my case you would be looking at the 60' time.

ok, so I admit to not knowing everything there is to know about drag racing but surely RT effects ET but not MPH, and I didn't say RT would effect MPH anyway.

If you sit there and don't react for like 2 seconds, that isn't added to the ET? Or does ET start from when the car gets going??
ET is timed from when you break the staging beam, R/T is only taken into account with a pro tree. Standard racing in Australia is based on the ET only.
Good example is turbo cars. I had runs where my R/T was 4-5 seconds and the other car was .5-1 yet as I had a lower ET I won.
