Site slow and unresponsive?

In the last half an hour or so the site has become very slow and unresponsive with pages timing out etc. Is anyone else experiencing this or is it just me?

It happens to me every now and again too. Leave it for half an hour and it's usually all good when I come back.

But it's not a new thing, it's been happening since the update. Not enough to bother me though.

Interesting this is the first time I've heard of such a thing happening until reading this didn't realise there was any issues.

Is this around a specific time of day / night? Or simply random?

It was happening to me last night, around 6 - 6.30pm WA time.

I haven't really had a problem before though.

Never happened to me before, it was only that night when I posted this thread.
I though it was my end as I've had some issues with my modem, but other websites were working fine.

Everything seems ok now and it hasn't happened since.

Thanks for the heads up, could have been all sorts more than likely a spike of bot activity as they certainly tend to smash the site every so often but it is very much a peak time by the sound of it.

Keep an eye on it and let me know should it continue.

Happened tonight at around 8:00 and again at 9:20 or so. It just says that the page is unresponsive, but it's certainly been happening for a fair while - when it happens all other sites work so I don't think it's an issue with my computer?

Thanks for the feedback guys, have escalated this through to the systems admin who looks after the server.

Have at least flagged it as a potential issue during peak times.
