I believe Suncorp own many of the big insurance companies:(
Typical corporate. There’ll be no competition one day, and you think we pay through the nose now?:(

I've been with them a few years now. Had one claim and no issues.

One of the few places ive been able to call up, tell them what I have and they actually had some idea.
And sure they could "google" it, but the answer to the first question was quicker than a search time.
Then called them to up the valuation, and again no hassles.

No claims though, and hopefully wont have to.

Multi vehicle is handy too.
Again talking to them they actually had some understanding of cars.

Reading some of the more recent reviews certainly indicates a very high level of dissatisfaction with the Shannon’s claim process of late.

Maybe the recent floods have made insurance companies more reluctant to pay out?

Good luck getting a Holden covered adequately by someone else.

Go find what it will cost to replace yours on carsales etc. RAC wouldn’t go near mine. Best was 50% of market value.

Yeah but have you read the PDS?

They can discount payout for vehicle condition… 50% worn tyre can see you paying 1/2 tyre cost. Rust in panel attachment can see you paying for the rust repair to attach the replacement panel… It’s a very 70’s type policy…

As long as you are aware of such conditions and make the choice eyes wide open, that’s fine but if you’re the type who doesn’t read PDS’, you may get a rude shock at claim time.
