In the letters to the editor in the latest Corvette Magazine a disgruntled reader speaks of his unhappiness at the Corvette becoming an SUV. The editor seems to think that the Corvette will split from Chevrolet and making it's own entity. The editor points out Porsche have been successful with the Cayenne despite unhappiness in the beginning. Aston Martin has followed suit as have Lamborghini. If this does happen we could well see the end of the Camaro.

Seems to good ole boy Camaro V8 coupe is on death row, according to latest motoring crystal ballers.
Makes it more irrelevant to Australia and Supercars. ( Bring back the Monaro. :))

The Camaro has been on the chopping block since not long after the last update/refresh that didn't go down well with the public and sales dropped.

Jeez Wayne, those dipsticks at GMHQ sure know how to destroy brand loyalty don't they? Bankrupt the company, shaft all the retired employees via their pensions, cannibalise then delete every offshore non-US brand they purchased in right-hand drive markets, capturing and destroying any export markets that those created with each other along the way. Now giving up on the only competitive product they had for Ford's iconic and adaptive pony which will have been running wild, tearing up grass verges and scattering pedestrians for 60 years when the Cumaroo dies.

What say if Tony Quinn and/or Jamie Whincup agreed with Roland Dane that TripleEight (and RedBull?) should look at Mopar for 2024, with Dodge Challengers? 54 years of history there, answering the Mustang. Chrysler took 6 years coming up with it, back then. Outsold Mustang by 7,494 last year. Those US or global numbers, I don't know.

The Mustang is a bit more relevant due to coming out in right hand drive. The Dodge has to be converted to right hand drive so as far as the average punter is concerned irrelevant.

The concept of race on Sunday sell on Monday went by the way many years ago.

The whole scene has to go back to how it started. Bring in the Porsches, Audi's and BMW's or anyone else who is competitive.

We are still allowed to bring in LH drive cars, a few Challengers and Camaro's getting around here. There is a Nice white Challenger up around the corner from me and interestingly a guy down around the corner from us had a orange C8 corvette for a while.
