The vent hose your talking about goes into a black box next to the fuel regulator from underneath the throttle bodyNo, that doesn't seem right although a little oil isn't out of the norm, only under high vacuum conditions does it suck air via the PCV valve. Is the vent hose fitted between the bottom of the the throttle body going back to the intake manifold?
Pull the PCV valve out and give it a clean with some carb cleaner or similar and pull the little plastic bung out underneath and give that a good clean too.
