Noisy cold start 2006 3.6lt ve

Most cold starts i get the sound like the tappets have no oil then 2 secs later oil pump pressure kicks in and it quiets down. Now its not like the common timing chain rubbing against metal where its sounds terrible. It's more just tappy for a few secs
My question is would replacing the oil pipe pick up O ring and cleaning out the crap would that fix the problem .?
