It is getting that way for Wakefield Park in NSW due to the opening up of residential lots and the ensuing noise regulations

It's nothing that some mufflers and complying with Db limits won't fix short term, but in the end it doesn't look good long term to Wakefield

The developers and local council just see subdivisions and rates, not somewhere to blast around having fun burning up tyres and dino-juice

I was reading about the 'plans' for Wakefield Park a couple of days ago, and think that its days are numbered, and eventually only a matter of time before it will get all too hard.
So many circuits that I have been to, that are not around anymore, or waiting for the development / greenie axe to fall.
Sandown, Calder (?), Hume Weir ( went there a few yeas ago, and there is absolutely no trace or remains of that one ) Warwick Farm, Amaroo, Oran Park ............
Bloody horse racing ........... cruelty to animals, dog food, gambling, expensive, jockeys being killed or suffering terrible injuries ......... but obviously preferable to motor racing for some.
The only good bit about horses is their garden fertiliser. Hated having to ride them as kid on a sheep property, and still do.

Horse racing panders to the people who believe it is a sport for the elite, all the "fabulous" people getting dressed up, wearing hats and drinking away, meanwhile, they watch horses that are whipped, beaten, drugged and generally run to death, till they are put to pasture, typically in a can of Chum

Meh, just breed 50 more, 1 might make money at the track, the others, like good old horse, have a date with a empty dog food tin

It is in fact one of the few forms of animal cruelty that flies under the radar because of all the money that trades hands

Rich and fabulously disgusting

Meanwhile, "punters" are no better, willing on the jockies to whip and kick the horses over the line

Alot of humans are garbage

Reminds me of when the 100 year old Claremont Speedway was closed coz neighbours complained about the noise.

Neighbours that certainly hadn't been living there for more than 100 years.

If you don't like race car noise, don't purchase a home next to a race track d!ckheads.
They didn't close down the airports when to many people moved close to them & complained about the noise.

They did subsidies sound proofing

I grew up in Mascot, next to Kingsford Smith

Airports bring in the dollars big time, regional tracks, not so much which makes them a easy target

Auckland airport is the same, they paid for a **** load of noise insulation for suburbs under their flight path.

Pukehoke is owned by a galloping club they are closing the track so more horses can run around in circles. I prefer the other type of horse power personally.
