More cars than I've got space to park!
Kiadores obviously needed a LOT of testing?

Foreign car companies simply don't need such a huge facility in a remote location, it made sense for Holden and GM but not really for anyone else.

Yea, when I did a Bosch course on brakes at Bosch Australia, they showed us heaps of test video, they did all their testing in Melbourne I think.
It was amazing, some of the tech back then is still being rolled out across the range to this day.
I saw a big merc van starting to tip over around a corner, then the ABS module kicked in and halted the outside wheels, which then induced a slip on the outside wheels which brought it back on all 4.
The test facilities they need now are much smaller.

interesting they sunk that much money into it at that time
Typical GM doing GM things, pissing taxpayers money up against the wall and then complaining they aren’t profitable.

I thought she was referring to the current owner?

That was probably no different to people painting houses and doing other repair jobs before putting it on the market in the hope it brings a better price/quicker sale.

It would be awesome for some rich benefactor to buy it and rent it out for club events, track days, etc., similar to how race circuits are.

Probably wouldn't be financially viable, but I'd happily pay to spend a day there!
