Ignition Problem

hello again

i am actually writing with a serious topic. I just bought my vk and the ignition has this piece of metal sticking out, and u can use that piece of metal to start my car without the key!!!! help i don't want my car that easy to be knocked off. should i just buy a new ignition or is there a cheapier way out?

where are you ?
if your in brisbane pm me iv'e got a spare ignition barrel you can have with a key of course that will get you out of trouble,I'll even show you how to fit it .

You might find it cheap enough to get the ignition re-keyed not sure though, cost me $35 last time but I took it off. Might be worth trying a locksmith but check pricing first might be better to pay frieght from Brisbane.
