Hello all.
Trying to identify this 308 motor, reportedly it came from a VL Walkinshaw but the serial number on the block 11QT29131 tells me it came from a HQ Statesman. Set up with the gearbox and sump it has come out of a commodore.
Can anyone help with its identity.

11QT29131 is from an early HQ Statesman. Should have a 1971 cast date.

Yep red statesman block.

If it is a number job on a walkie block you'd need to see if it has 4 bolt main caps & measure lifter bores bigger than stock iirc.....if it is real deal keep walking as shonky as shite for a couple of reasons.
