You can't with the Samsung camera app. Even in fully silent mode it will still go off. You need a different camera app.

If that's true, it's part of an update. Cause mine doesn't have that option in the cog menu.

No, my OS is Google's Android. As is the OS on ALL Samsung Galaxy S5s.

You cant turn it off with the standard OS.

You need to go into the root and disable it. Theres a few guides out there to do it easily but its one of those "Ill do it later" things and you never do it.

Just checked the cog on the top left, no option of turning shutter sound off..

however, open Snapchat, take photo, press download button. Instant photo taken without shuttersound

Lol, yeah I know. But if you buy from a vendor you'll get their bloated flavour on top of Samsung and they feel the need to remove the shutter sound option. Internationals are pure Samsung Android bloat, which is what mine is and had the option before and after rooting/ROMing.
