We are going to be needing to get a car from Canberra to Perth very shortly, because of the derailment near Kalgoorlie, normal carriers are quoting 6 weeks as they rail the cars over. Anyone know a trucking company that would either bring a back load over or who transports cars that aren't ridiculously priced?

is the car registered? if so one way plane ticket and drive it over.
else
one way hire a car & trailer and tow it over

else try a few truck supply & repair shops and see if anyone can float it over.

Can't say that I have ever seen a hire car with a tow bar option... other than the "hire me" ute at bunnings.

Have heard of people sending cars by ship from the East to Freo, they stop over there before they come here, should only take a week

All sorted, getting it over by Prix car transport. $1200ish. The missus was going to fly over and drive it back but she can't do it for less that that and she had a time limit of 3 days.
