also carparks under hotels, usually thats the safe point to exit but put an EV fire in there and ur in trouble

The story I read (earlier this morning) said the fire started near an EV. This is very much still a developing story so lets wait for some facts instead of those who are all jumping on the EV fire bandwagon.

The colour of the smoke is a bit of a give away.

There are about 3000 cars on that ship with apparently only a very small %age been EV so if the thing is ablaze than we can be fairly certain the majority of the cars burning are in fact ICE vehicles. Or are we suggesting only the EV's are burning?

Lets look at the facts we know.
1. A car carrier is on fire
2. There are some EV's on board

The rest is fairly much all speculation at this point.

Actually, just reading a Dutch news channel and apparently the number is closer to 4000 vehicles.

And how exactly does a brand new ICE vehicle self combust, it can’t. Spontaneously combusting is purely an EV thing.
