Hey guys..

So, being a DJ, I burn cds to play at nightclubs/private functions etc.

Monday night, I had a gig.. Went to check a CD i'd recently burnt, put it in my CD player, the cd was rejected, tried a different CD player, again rejected.

I put the CD in my laptop, and it was picked up as a blank disc. I tried re-burning the song files, same thing happened.

I have rebooted my laptop, the burn process goes as it should, I have tried NERO burning rom, and Windows Media Player, it will act as if its writing data on the disc like normal, yet nothing is on the cd.

Any ideas what could be going on?

I've had 2 Pioneer DVD drives in my PC do the same thing, the only solution was to replace them.

Not sure if that's possible in your laptop...

Just get an external one for a laptop. Too expensive getting a genuine replacement.

The first thing you should try is different media (cd's).

Make sure you check verify after burning in Nero when you burn with it. After its burned can you see the difference in the disk? Does it refract the light differently?
