- 2009 colorado diesel 4wd automatic. 2010 mazda 3
Ive got a diesel colorado 2009, in the service book it states valve clearance adjustments at regular intervals. Cant remember maybe 90k.
My question is is it really necessary, does ANYONE actually do these things? Like theres plenty of things manufacturers recommend that nobody does and their cars never have issues, such as, lubricating locks, changing shocks every year or 2, cabin filters, flushing brake fluid etc.
Im aware i sound ignorant but just wondering peoples opinion on this. Its a fair job, one id prob get done at the shop, and with getting cyclinders tdc on the compression stroke on a diesel im kinda thinking that a lesser mechanic could create a catastrophe for me.
