mine reported no codes unfortunately when it failed.

That was likely the relay that powers the moduel that failed, they can actually be fixed by soldering on a new relay in the early Bosch models.

You can check for abs codes with a paper clip

During my troubleshooting I was unaware that the ABS had a separate paper clip diagnostic deal, I had disconnected the battery a full day beforehand. I went 17 years before I found out it had a valet mode to disable the key fob immobiliser.

The tech scanners do not work for ABS pre VT

I really got my hopes up with that tool. Its irksome that the option is right there in the vr/vs menu but it doesn't work.

I had 2 different people try on 2 different units. Same result. We all believed it should work, but it doesn't. Limitation of ALDL I guess

I would like to see if my Snap-on does it. If not the Hannatech should be able to do it, thing is finding someone that still has a Hannatech.
