For my VT 5L, I get anything between 350-500 depending on the type of driving (ie. long trips/short trips/stop start etc)

ive got 5ltr vn 4.11s

sits on about 2400@100 .

im still tryin to figure the math on this one. can someone help?

he has a trans with a 0.7:1 top gear mine is 1.0:1 his has a 4.11:1 final drive, mine is 3.55:1 his revs at 2400 @100kmph mine is 3000@107kmph

doesnt seem to add up in my head. a 0.3 gain on rotation through top gear, but a 0.6 loss on final drive would mean he revs 0.3 more than me? so lets pretend the tyres are the same rolling diameter, then would he be revving at 4000rpm?? argh, broken head.

edit* NVM vn_luke sorted me out

I had good fuel consumption in my SS I could easily push it to get 400-450'ks out of a tank.

I know its a old treath over 12 years since last post...............

I got 280km out of 38litres and i drove it mild meaning mainly mostly town driving (here in the Netherlands),the car has had a memcal tune no cats twin 2,5inch exhaust and .345 diff.

Its pretty bad as its 13.6 litre per 100km but for a engine the age of the dinosaurs and the size of 4,9/5l it can be wors......For modern standards is hopeless but 30-35 years back it was good, i am not complaining i love the sound i love the torque its a smooth engine i drive it for months now as daily and i really enjoy the power it has wenn u floor it vs the previous cars i had the torque is great its always there.

13.6/100 is not bad really. I see between 12-15/100 in our lot depending on the right foot & traffic conditions

Mine used to get around the same with general around town driving....mix of suburban, peak hour and freeway.

Country highway trips, fully loaded, would be sub 10.
