Now you need a small ball burr to round off the edges of those holes :)

Bad photo, but they are rounded slightly for the entry/exit to the groove. But obviously not to the bearing surface (as why would you)
I possibly could radius them more, but it's only for lifter and top end feed on that side, so not overly important (compared to increasing mains supply etc)

Yes!
That's my next plan.
What thread size do you use for fittings?

I love that lifter valley!

I've always wanted to try Glyptal and am still deciding whether I want to try with this build as we all know with a Holden any way of helping oil get back to the bottom end as fast as possible is good. but have always been paranoid about not having the surface 100% decontaminated and it flaking or peeling once I get the engine running and I can't see it.

Glyptal... in use in my race engines for 20+ years

never flaked, peeled or chipped

Neil Burns (LPs engine builder) said try it... Larry has used it since the 80s
this pic taken in the early noughties (forget which race car the engines was in)

Does it need to be primed before hand etc or just brush on?

I’m guessing just a degrease of any machining oils etc in the valley should be enough…..tempting
