    VF Calais/Commodores Head Liners

Very common problem. My advice would be to get it professionally replaced. I recently had this done on my wife's VS Clubsport and the result was excellent. Other forum members have managed to replace the headlining themselves do that is another option for you.

    Parcel shelf amplifier

I think you may be confused about the location of the amplifier? The attached items from the Holden VF Service Manual may help you. If you have specific audio questions in the future, you may get a better response if you post in the Car Audio forum.

Holden VR 5l coolant temperature sender

From the Holden VS Service Manual. VR will be the same. PCM is for auto, ECM is for manual trans. BTW, temperature sender is for the dash, and temperature sensor is for the engine and other items.

VF head unit not turning on

What have you tried so far? Turned the power off and back on again? Disconnected the battery for 10-15 mins and reconnected?

Some issues on my 2013 SV6 VF Commodore

That sounds extremely, extremely, extremely unlikely. I doubt that Holden provided such a warranty even when they were still in business. Total BS in my opinion.

    VT SS

You should easily be able to tell the difference between an OEM or aftermarket rear window aerial (like the difference between chalk and cheese, as they say LOL).

Here you go, from the Holden VS Workshop Manual:

VE Clubsport R8 shell plus bits for a measly $1000

These ads are sometimes a complete wank just to get some feedback. If you apply, you may find that the $1000 only refers to the Black Carpet rather than the whole car.

    limp mode

I would suggest, since your ride is described as a VX Clubsport, that you have either posted in the incorrect forum, or you have posted on behalf of someone else who has a VE. If the latter is the case, you should make it clear what vehicle you are actually requesting help on. If the former, you...

Rust in cooling system 304 V8

I have always used green coolant (genuine or Penrite) on my Holden V8s, and never had a problem with rust in the cooling system. I would suggest that you never use the premix. The capacity of the V8 cooling system is around 12 litres. If you flush and drain the cooling system, with (clean)...

VX V6 Berlina - Stock engine and computer

Is that when you last filled up with petrol - presumably you used standard 91 octane unleaded? Have you used the same servo before?

Did you remove the throttle body to clean it, or did you clean it while attached? Make sure you have adjusted the throttle cable correctly, refer to diagram below:

    VT calais 98

From VT Commodore Issues & Faults: Instrument warning lamps (ABS) - The ABS module consists of 2 main parts. A hydraulic unit and an electrical unit. The most common failure seen with the module is when the ABS Electronic module fails. This often results in a myriad of dash lights being...

VR 5L ECU into VS SS series 2

YAZAKI BCMs' used on VS and VR Series Models are not interchangeable due to differences in terminal assignments and vehicle wiring. The BCMs changed from VR to VS. That may cause you problems using a VR ECU in a VS.

fuel regulator for 304 sequential injection vs 304 direct injection. are they the same?

I would say they are the same. I don't recall that the fuel pressure regulator was replaced when my VS Calais V8 was converted to sequential injection as a 355, or even when it went to a 383. Other forum members may be able to provide more appropriate (relevant) assistance.

Radio Pin Code for 2017 VF Evoke standard Radio-

VF uses GMLAN not Canbus, hence you need to use GDS2 to diagnose VF, not Tech2 like the VE. Your other quotes are right on the money.

    Vt l67 tansmisson control module

Sounds like you may have either shift solenoid problems or a throttle position sensor problem. Are you getting a check engine light on? Have you tried displaying your error codes? The post below is for VR/VS, but VT/VX V6 uses the same process...

    Commodore won’t idle!

Don't tighten the throttle cable, there needs to be 10-15mm of play. Refer to the attached diagram. Oops, I think I might have made a mistake. The post above might not apply to the supercharged V6.

MY15 SV6 Rear bumper popping out

Had a similar problem with my Gen-F2 GTS on the passenger side. The rear bar is held in by clips that sometimes fail or are not strong/long enough to retain the bar. My panel guy performed a plastic weld on the clip and it has been fine for the last month.

What car? Your rides show VF models, this is the VE forum.
  25. BlackVXGTS

Screeching (?) sound coming presumably from steering column in VE Series II Commodore

In the VR/VS days there was a grommet (or something similar) where the steering column went through the fire wall. Over time the lubricant dried out and caused squeaking. VZ may be similar. Needed to have grease poked down where the grommet met the firewall to fix the squeak. Worth a try...

VS SS Commodore 1996 Speedo not working

You said the guy's scanner didn't work. Are you getting a check engine light (CEL) on the dash? Does the CEL even work when you turn the ignition on and the lights all turn on for a short time? Use the link below to see if any error codes have been set...

Re: Driver's door outer latch loose - clip fallen into door.

Forget about the (well-meaning) post from rambunctious, the handle is nothing like the VR/VS models. The one in the post from wamboin23 is correct for the VR/VS and shows the striker bar you are referring to. Working with these doors is a frustrating and bastard of a job. I went through the...

Make sure that your remote is making contact with the ignition slip ring.

VE HSV 2006 Clubsport R8 crank no start.

Is this a stolen car? You don't need to start the car to get codes, you only have to have the ignition on! When has it actually run (and started) perfectly? What happened in the meantime?
  31. BlackVXGTS

    Keeping It OEM ?

Any time you modify an HSV you will reduce its market value. However, I would draw the line at not replacing things like the sub-standard brakes (except on recent models) and also not keeping the sub-standard tyres. Just keep all the old bits so that you can replace them, if necessary, when...

2007 VE dash fault auto braking fault

You might have a problem with your power brake booster. If you have your foot on the brake pedal when the car is started first thing in the morning you should feel the pedal go down a little, otherwise you have a faulty booster.

Came across this VF Commodore Production video on youtube today. Interesting how the assembly line used to work. Apologies if it's been posted before.
  38. BlackVXGTS

What did you do to your VR/VS today?

That looks like it would be excessive transmission cooling for a road-use transmission, even if you doing a lot of towing. Does it incorporate a thermostat to make sure the transmission fluid doesn't get too cool.
