They are, but you need the engine loom that comes with the new motor, and the ECU needs reflashing to suit. The cam phasers and sensors are different, so if you dont get the ecu reflashed, the car won't start. HBA is 2004-2005. HBH is 2006

Got a second hand motor to put in my vr v6, but I want to make sure it runs well before I muck around swapping it over. I've got a full engine loom, and a body loom too, but I just want to know the easiest way to make it run without being fully wired in a car. Any help?

When I first did my conversion, I didn't have a damper, so while I waited for one to get, I just put vice grips on the cable, where the damper would go, to stop it pulling through the firewall. Rattled a bit, but did the job

Ive got it wound all the way out, I ended up pulling it back out through the firewall and clamping it out, so at least it's drivable until I order a new one. Cable must be stretched.

Hey lads, here's a doozy, got a main window loom, the rear door plugs have three pins. Got the door looms from another donor, rear door plugs have four pins. They aren't even close to the same plug. What has happened, and how can I fix it?

That's so weird. There's a 20mm gap between the drivers side pieces, I'll fix it with body filler probably, the passenger side though, I don't know what to do, they don't even touch. :/

I've got the same in my vr. I always assumed it was unis, never got around d to replacing them. But I did just get told by my tyre fitter that apparently my diff has lateral movement, so that won't be helping either.

My vr has about the same economy in the city. But highways I get about 8l/100km, driving to work I get about 9.5l/100km. $75 normally gets me just shy of 600km when driving to work and back, which is through two towns across 40km each way. And I don't take it easy. And on 98 fuel. Your 300k's...

I've had 6x9s in for years, never been questioned. It really just depends how much of a cop magnet you are.
