the module they are referring to would be the bcm. a sparkie would have checked the fuses and relays and i guess he tested for output to the relays and fuses which is why he suspects the bcm. it could be a software issue or it could need the bcm replaced, you will need to take it to a dealer...

while i dont know about this specific feature i can say typically with gm things like this are usually switched off programmatically in the bcm and require programming to make them work.

yeah vehicles have a history of fuses and relays popping out while you drive, that must be why the fuse box has a lid, to contain them lol. one of the workers probably stole them for their own vehicle :mad:

they wouldnt, someone has pillaged them for some reason. the only possible reason i could think is they had the vehicle ignition on for an extended period and they could not work out how to disable the auto headlight function so they pulled the lowbeam fuses/relays to stop the battery going flat.

Probably a dodgy ignition switch in the barrel. Definitely get that checked out as it can cause issues especially if it kills the engine while driving and you are not ready for it.

If the fob gets damaged or goes flat while the vehicle is locked you need the blade to unlock the door to access the console to start the vehicle. Not an issue if you are at home with the spare handy but can be problematic if you are out.

If i remember correctly in some places the lgt engine did have an issue mainly pertaining to a loose unit behind the righthand front wheel. It might impact economy readings and it was not addressable with a recall.

the speaker pinout on the rear of the mylink is the same in all of the vf variants. when i hook up a sub to a system like this i connect to the rear speakers. see if this helps

it uses bluetooth and the original mylink still operates as normal so you wont lose factory audible alerts from the vehicle.

fault codes will stop remote start, its a built in safety function so it does not really matter what the fault is the remote start function will be disabled if a code is present. you could try the battery but you may need to look at what is causing that error, dont focus on the remote start not...

oem keys are better quality and more durable over time but at double/triple the price they are not worth it. you can mash oem parts into aftermarket keys but you will need a dremel to get them to operate smoothly, i have done this a few times swapping blades into aftermarket shells.
