Holden VR 5l coolant temperature sender

Hi, just wondering if anyone has a picture of the coolant temperature sender (to pcm not dash cluster) as I've had to replace the wires and have forgotten witch wires are positive and negative

From the Holden VS Service Manual. VR will be the same. PCM is for auto, ECM is for manual trans.

BTW, temperature sender is for the dash, and temperature sensor is for the engine and other items.

Thanks mate and I assume that the diagram view would be looking down on the metal retaining clip as the reference point for positive/negative

That's probably a reasonable assumption. You could always check with a multimeter.

Thanks mate, as in the photo above they always show the sensor with the locking clip at the top...I'll pull it apart and take a look this weekend, fingers crossed it fixes the **** random idle issues and and power loss
