You wrote about a your tensioner jumping up and down. Well today I just found a split in the coating on a wire that bolts onto the back of the alternator and since I covered it with a cut of hose it is a whole lot smoother. You probably sold the car since you wrote in 2005, but if its bugged you half as much as me then I would have loved for someone to tell me.

Hi sorry but as I am a chick I dont know much aboout cars. I have a VS commodore 95 model and have been told I need a new motor as my car is only running on 5 cylinders instead of the 6, however I was in an arguement with a friend tonight as he told me a car will not go if it only has 5 cylinders. Is he correct or are the 4 mechanics that have told me the same thing wrong? Thanks.
