    VS #4 V6 T Build Log

Pretty sure that's the same TIG I got off the mate that he was using for a long time. If memory serves me right it wasn't the easiest to get some really good Alu welds. Since getting a better Tig (some Snap On one) Alu welds have been alot nicer. Can't remember the settings, but there was...

    VS #4 V6 T Build Log

It all takes time, learning settings, how it reacts, everything else in between. Spent a few years in a specialised manufacturing environment with some very very skilled fabrication guys for things like welding. Some had welds that looked alright and worked fine, others were guys that have been...

Still haven't been past the great butcher for a while. But did pick up some nice sauces from a place up the Murray River at Yarrawonga called "Rich Glen" Started out as a farm gate type thing and now started to get a bit bigger with shops (and can sometimes be found in some bigger grocery...

    Plug Gaps older motor.

That's some good info. Thought I'd read more into it and found that the bigger gap needs a stronger charge, so could indicate the elec system needs a check over. Which would also explain the smaller gap helping a bit too. Going to grab some new leads for it. Do also have a feeling an injector...

    Plug Gaps older motor.

Having a think. Put new plugs in (stock NGK 1.5mm gap) as per the manual for the VS V6. Checked with the feeler gauges. Noticed the car running a little bit rougher, maybe a bit more fuel usage. I think last time I regapped the plugs to about 1.3mm. Which I think I'll do again. Would anyone...

    Tools

Got to play with the Power Supply. Can recommend it. Told the old man about it (being only $100) and he reckons thats pretty good. Looking at it, couldve maybe gone for the 60v variable one, or a dual channel. But for one to chuck in the Shed itll do just whats needed.

what did you do to your car today?

Spanner, No good. Multi Grips, No Good. Other Spanners and Sockets, No Good. Bigger Multis, No good. Stilsons, No Good. Mashy and a Cold Chisel. Woohoo! Finally got the Sump Bolt out. Destroyed in the process, but its out!. Put a new Sump Plug in (for reference is a 24x1.5 thread) Did an oil...

what did you do to your car today?

Well I partially rounded some corners. It looked like it was a new sump bolt (requires a 19mm) so I'm unsure if something else has binded. As a result I picked up a new sump bolt so we can go to town on the old one and rip it off. Not using poor quality spanners either, have Sidchrome, Bahco...

what did you do to your car today?

Trying to do an oil change. Starting to Round the sump plug.... (I didn't do it up) It's not a 19mm. It's not an 18mm. It's not an 11/16 it's not a 3/4.... It's some stupid size that shouldn't exist.... May aswell buy a new one to replace it, but still...

Calling on the Shannons (or similar) insured V8 crew, can I have a price check please.

Can't say I had it that bad last time. Pretty sure I left a message and they called back or something like that. Did mean speaking to someone local too which was handy. Or you just got them at a bad day/time when every man and his dog was calling through. Once you start getting to online...

No pics this time. I'll get some carefully angled ones next time so it looks bigger and all that. Might not be for a few weeks as I don't think I'm passing said butcher for a while.

Finally !!! New Reproduction Headlining Board and Fabric are available for Sedans

What would it cost to actually fix one to a quality standard anyway. Fabric, time, glues, skills at an upholstery joint would be a few hundred anyway. So when added up, is $850 really that bad? *hmmmmm*

Definitely going to get more of that dry aged Scotch Fillet next time going past the Butcher. Was so nice. Juicy, Tender, Melt in Mouth. So hard to justify buying meat from Supermarkets or alot of Butchers now since finding so many good Country places (with quite delectable prices too)
