It gets metallicy up close but being a direct it flows out a lot more. Clear does always emphasise a metallic or pearl. You should see how dull some vase coats are that pop with clear.

If that's what straight solid comes out like I think I will go with solid. It will work out a lot cheaper.

Honestly no one is going to notice they are slightly lighter or darker. Take into account for paint fade.

Once they are on the car no one will say boo.

They only do two Silver's , it's a colourthane swatch paint not mixed to a code. I think it's the brighter of the two Silver's.

Thanks heaps man. Once I'm out of Iso I will see if I can get the paint cross matched using the name. Failing that I will see if the Wattyl shop sell it.

I get looked after but I pay $60 a litre and $40 for a half litre if it's a little job and I don't want spare. I'll take you a photo of my manifold that's painted in it. I think it'd look fine on wheels. Depends how fussy you are on it being exact.

What do you reckon 1/2 litre for, four rims. I didn't even go through 1/2 litre on my bar cover for the old ute, probably 300mls with hardener and thinners added. I went through about one pot to prime them.
