Ok - with all the hoo haa over Dallas Buyers Club dl stupidity (I'd never even heard of the movie till it blew up in the media) the whole VPN thing got me thinking. Not that I have anything to hide, but I'm not a fan of big brother looking over my shoulder at everything I do. Soooooo what's everybodies VPN recommendation and why?

I use IPVanish and have no complaints.

It can be used as an aggregation point for multiple devices, supports interface binding for popular torrent clients and has no impact on my throughput whatsoever.

No matter what, as secure as a VPN is, you're still at the mercy of the company who owns the service. They all say they 'don't log' but by the very nature of the technology they use there has to be logging, it's all calculated risk.

Good article that may help, most important thing to be sure of is the country that the VPN is based and the country of their servers. Depending on their country they may be legally obligated to provide information at the behest of their countries law enforcement. Also important to see any existing metadata/piracy laws already/being proposed for the previously mentioned country.
