vz 4l60e transmission service + fitment of transmission cooler

hey everybody.
currently looking at doing a transmission service on a VZ 4l60E
any tips an tricks on doing the service? an best place to cut the transmission lines? ( i couldnt find the required barbs to fit onto the transmission lines so i thought cutting them is next best option)

i have a ryco rtk4 for the deep pan7
litres of valvoline max life
transmisison cooler+ 3/8th hose
pipe cutter

after watching a few youtube videos i saw that most if all dont replace the filter neck seal.
im hoping i dont have to, after consulting the factory manual it says to use circlip pliers to pull it out i havent bee able to find a place to hook on to if i was doing to (i presume they are jammed in there pretty tightly?

dont cut the pipes as you will then have a smooth end which hose will not be able to grip onto (no barbs)
buy adaptor fittings to fit onto existing fittings
