Hi I am having a problem with my vt commodore. My battery keeps dying and a mate looked at it and he thinks something is draining the battery. He asked his auto electrician mate and he was told it could be the BCM. He put a test light on the fuses under the dash and with the car off it was showing 14volts on the fuses. Is this normal? He also put the test light on the battery and the alternator with the car off and it was showing the volts and then he took off one of the terminals off the battery and got a different reading. He said it should read the same. When you lock the doors with the button sometimes it wants to work and sometimes it doesn’t and then you have to manually lock it. When you start the car it sometimes doesn’t kick over straight away. My friend took the negative terminal off the battery so there was no power going to it last night and I started it this morning and it didn’t start straight away it took a bit to crank over and start. I also took the car to the battery traders place and they said the battery is fine that there is something staying on and draining it. Has anyone got any ideas at all? Would it be the BCM or maybe something else. It’s really starting to annoy me.
