I didn't realise V8 got a getrag in Series III. I assume it must have been a beefed up one compared to a V6 one?

Rumour had it that, that's why the L67 never got a getrag as it wasn't going to be strong enough. Of course this could be hearsay?

Hmmm, a L67 in a Manual would have been interesting !

Yes, the V8 had a different box to the V6.

L67 only in Auto, I don't think even the V8 getrag was rated for the extra torque from the supercharger and a stock clutch life would have been horrendous and would never achieve reliability of the manufacturers warranty.
