Vr engine into vt commodore

I have a vt in which the motor done a bearing. I have a vr 3800 with loom ecu and bcm. Will this fit?

Yes it will fit, but you can't register it with that engine.

You'll need a vs-vy engine
vt-vy is straight swap
Vs you need to swap manifolds over due to egr

It will fit but it will need a tune and not sure if you can tune out the EGR? It will be cheaper to get another Eco.

You will need to stick to the VT PCM and get it remapped.

Should you do it? No.
Will it be able to be registered? No.
Will the car be worthless after? Yes.
Will you be able to insure it? Not likely as it won’t be registered.
