Tiptronic not engaging

I’ve got a ‘06 VE SV6 auto and she’s been going well, but since I’ve owned the car it doesn’t go into sports or “manual” mode when I move the shifter over to the left

Could be a faulty range selector switch. Not that expensive but, a job for a transmission specialist.

Even if I’m not having any other issues with the trans? Cause it goes through the gears fine, and when I put it into sports shift by using the button it works as it should

Did u ever find the fix? I have same problem
