Better off getting a Mace CAI and fitting that. That will help far more tha swapping over the TB.

With a larger throttle body, you'll need a tune to suit as it's getting more air than stock at any defined tps input. This affects gear shift timing

I think you'll find a stock tune should be ok. The engine will only suck so much air as it can pull. The TB not really being restrictive shouldn't really be reducing the air that can be pulled. A CAI will help the engine breathe better and it doesn't require a tune. A larger TB won't really increase power. However what it does tend to do is advance the throttle position, meaning you take off a little quicker with less throttle.

The tune is not so much for the engine, but gear shifts. Tps is used for shift changes and it's out of whack as you said: more air at less throttle.

Ok, must be an Eco on thing, as it never affected mine.

It's how MAF based tunes are done.

The proper way to sort it is with a tune.
