vr v6 engine injector plug that goes on the injector are they both meant to be live. There is one red and one grey, Thanks Gary

One side goes to 12v from ignition and other side goes to ECU which grounds it to pulse the injector.
If the injector coil is not open circuit then you will see the 12V on both sides of the injector when engine is not running and ign is on.
If you have an oscilloscope you will see the pulses when the ECU activates the injector

Thanks for the reply. When the ing is on the two wires are live. I have checked it on the vy the red is live and the grey is not the grey wire only comes on if engine is cranking and it pulsates the vr is on with ing on and cranking so i have a short somewhere any ideas. Thanks gary.
