GT6 - Thoughts

Hello all, picked up my copy of GT6 this morning. Have been playing it last few hours. Here are my thoughts.

- New tracks are good, but Top Gear track is absent. Bathurst is quite realistic.
- Skill level seems to be a bit easier as compared to GT5

Im very interested to see Forza v GT6.

Especially the Bathurst track. I played Forza a few times now and the Bathurst track is amazing. The car feels like it drops away over the hill like it should. Id be very curious to see how they both stack up.

Does it get rid if that stupid view above the car that follows the car and not the direction if travel?

In gt5, you'd go into a slide and all you could see was wall cos the camera wouldn't follow the direction the car was sliding. I hated it, if that is ditched, I may buy it

It makes me start the game with a Honda Jazz which I can win all the starter races with. Makes it a bit boring and I might not want to start with a Honda Jazz. Then I win a Renault Clio which will win all the next races ....

What I'm looking for is a game which has races where tyre wear, fuel usage and damage are factored in and need pitstops and where I can use cars from the 1960s to 1980s in them.
GT6 has the pitstop races (eventually) at the high 'licence' level but only for the super high performance stuff. I want to use more common 'production' vehicles.
Basically I want to run a production vehicles Bathurst ! : )
Has anyone got any suggestions for that on PS3 please?

I've been a fan since GT1 but honestly the standalone GT6 game is lacking. Maybe they're aiming for online pay per play market or something, but I don't do that.

Get a PC and get Iracing. Makes games like GT6 and Forza look like Sega Rally.

I'm sure it is good but I don't want to be online just to play a game so I'm after something stand alone on PS3 for now.
